Springfield’s west side is soon to welcome a new public golf training facility complete with a full-service restaurant and bar. Eagle Golf and Grill is set to open next month at 3941 Pintail Drive, occupying the former location of Pickups Plus. The owners of this facility have strong ties to Jacksonville.
According to the Springfield Business Journal, the business will be co-owned by Jim Lee, his wife Amber Lee, and Josh Edison. Edison is currently the head golf coach at Illinois College and will be responsible for providing golf lessons. On the other hand, the Lees will oversee the restaurant and hospitality aspects of the business.
Eagle Golf and Grill is set to offer a range of facilities for golf enthusiasts. The establishment will feature five golf simulator bays, a 1,200-square-foot indoor putting and chipping green, and a training area for students. All of this will complement the full-service restaurant and bar. Jim Lee expressed his anticipation for the business to offer a youth academy. The academy aims to work with kids from junior high through college, helping them develop their skills and compete in the local circuit.
The opening of Eagle Golf and Grill is eagerly awaited by golf enthusiasts in Springfield. Jim Lee hopes to have the facility up and running by next month. With its combination of golf training, dining, and entertainment amenities, this new establishment is sure to provide a unique experience for locals and visitors alike.
