Title: Delaware State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Newark

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Newark back in August. The incident took place at the intersection of Harmony Road and Harmony Crest Drive, where a green 2015 Chevrolet Cruze and a gray 2015 Ford Edge collided.
According to the report, on August 29, 2023, at around 5:27 p.m., the Chevrolet Cruze was traveling northbound on Harmony Road, while the Ford Edge was stopped at the stop sign on Harmony Crest Drive. As the Ford made a left turn onto the northbound lane of Harmony Road, its front right end collided with the front left side of the Chevrolet. The impact caused the Chevrolet to veer off the road and hit a curb with its right front tire.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 62-year-old woman from Wilmington, Delaware, was immediately transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, on October 2, 2023, she succumbed to her critical injuries sustained in the crash. The Delaware State Police have decided to withhold her name until her family and relatives have been notified.
On the other hand, the driver of the Ford, a 54-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, did not suffer any injuries. However, he was cited on the day of the accident. Additional charges may be filed pending the ongoing investigation.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently handling the investigation. They are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward with any information.
