According to a survey conducted by Family Destinations Guide, three thousand families were asked to rate their favorite pumpkin-picking spots in each state. The results for Delaware are in, and here are the top three favorite pumpkin patches:
1. Mr. Pepper’s Pumpkin Patch in Laurel: Voted Delaware’s favorite pumpkin patch, Mr. Pepper’s is open until Tuesday, October 31. You can visit from Sunday to Friday between noon and dusk, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to dusk. In addition to pumpkin picking, they also offer hayrides for $4 and corn mazes for $6. On weekends, you can even grab a bite to eat at their snack shack, which serves hamburgers, hot dogs, and various packaged snacks.
2. Filasky’s Produce and Farm Market in Middletown: Coming in at number two, Filasky’s offers u-pick pumpkins, a soybean maze, bonfires, and hayrides during the day and at night on weekends and holidays until early November. They are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. While you’re there, don’t forget to try their delicious pumpkin donuts and pumpkin ice cream.
3. Fifer Orchards in Camden: Fifer Orchards is Delaware’s third favorite pumpkin patch. U-pick pumpkins are available until Tuesday, October 31. However, their Fall Fest continues until Saturday, November 4, which includes various activities and even a corn maze partnership with Dover Motor Speedway called the 2023 Motor Maze. On Saturdays, Fifer Orchards also offers additional events like a baby animal exhibit, face painting, food trucks, u-pick apples, free live music, and apple cannons. The farm is open from Monday to Saturday, with varying hours.
